Nice hotel. Comfortable room. Weak air conditioning. No wifi in room. Only in public areas. Friendly staff.

The lounge and library room downstairs was very enjoyable to relax and read a bit. After dinner we spent an hour there, petting the fluffy and friendly cat of the house.

The hotel is located 5-10 min walk from the main parking (free ticket to be stamped by hotel reception - just tell municipal agents you will first drop your luggages and come back), behind the Parador and next to Hotel El Convento. It is right on the cliff and from your balcony or the pretty roof top terrace, you can look down the vertiginous vertical drop to the winding river Guadalate far below, overlooking the gorgeous Andalusian countryside and the numerous orchards.

Our family was treated like guests of the staff in this intimate hotel. Our rooms were updated, but very much in keeping with the antiquity of the casa and the region. Our balcony afforded us sweeping views of the landscape, complete with fields of sunflowers in full bloom (July). The location within Arcos de la Frontera was perfect for strolling the picturesque village and visitng the tapas bars (as recommended by Rick Steve's travel guides) and the historic cathedral. Evenings on the rooftop patio were quiet and romantic. We look forward to visitng this lovely hotel.

This tiny boutique hotel ressembles a lot like a beautifully renovated Riad in old Moroccan Medinas. You feel welcomed as soon as you pass the heavy front door.

Past it's prime, but clean with great views.

It's been one year since we went there but I still remember the room and the view, and the breakfast there (loved the bread, the cheese, the jamon...). It was wonderful. Especially the sunset from the window and from the rooftop. There is unmistakably something special there. It's atypic, original, cute, charming, lovely...

Rooms are qui tiny and monastic, but comfortable. The place is quite eco-friendly with their own biodegradable liquid soaps and shampoos.

The TV as per in most Southern Spain hotels are just ridiculously small and with few channels and very bad reception... and you won't find a water kettle and tea/coffee set in your room.

Friendly staff and the perfect location to truly appreciate the history of this highly perched 12th-13th century village.

Arcos de la Frontera is definitely a "pueblo blanco" (white village originally built by Moors) to stop by on your way between Cadiz, Ronda and Sevilla.
